Today, I’m continuing the international theme I started back when I talked to Loyal K.N.G., Fat Gold, Ardentees and Pimpalicious Living and, (after being introduced by my boy Shannon from Self Gained Treasures – props to him for this), have tracked down another super fresh American brand to introduce to you all…
Find out more after the jump

Hailing from the streets of Chicago, One Forty Five South (OFFS) is a one-man brand comprised of two main divisions. After being introduced to creative mind Chaz (the man with all the ideas) and seeing some of the designs he was dropping I knew I had to get his thoughts on paper for you all to read. I sat down with Chaz to find out more…
Who/ what is One Forty Five South? One Forty Five South is a Creative Group that houses both Graphic and Fashion Design. OFFS Apparel Reserve is the Fashion Division. The entire establishment was created and designed by me; Chaz L. Morgan.
Your tee designs are strong and striking – do you consider these designs to be your main image or is the brand image flexible? I feel that my designs are equal representations of both my brand and me. My designs express certain theories that I practice in life on a 24-Hour basis. I found that the majority of my clientele can relate to my concepts and perspectives verbatim, so that makes the representation 50/50.
What does/ will make your brand stand out and distinguish itself from the rest of the US/ worldwide streetwear pack? My brand encourages Individuality and Independence, which means I can separate myself from the majority of clothing brands out there. My direct/ personal presentation to my clientèle also helps distinguish OFFS from the rest of the crowd. I take extreme care in the way I present, explain, and market my products. Doing this ensures that the person wearing my garment takes pride in the material and understands exactly what he/she is wearing.
Who/ what influences you in your work? My past experiences are the primary influence for my concepts. Everything I produce is based on a experience where I persevered and stayed strong. My influences on my execution and delivery is Piet Mondrian of The De Stijl Era of the 1930’s, contemporary photography and design, and Michael Jordan.

What’s your take on the whole UK streetwear scene at the moment? How does it compare what the US has got going on? I feel like the US fashion scene is very safe as far as what’s allowed by the public. I get a strong sense that brands in the UK strive off of the fact that they can express themselves anyway they want without immediate ridicule.
Where do you see you and One Forty Five South being in 5 years time? I see OFFS as a very small, super financially stable, down-to-earth creative and fashion group doing what we do best….and that’s serving the public. I like to think we are modern-day super heroes (hahahaha)!
Where can people expect to catch your work, any UK stockists to watch? Definitely catch our blog and our main website [when it’s built!]. We’re also on Twitter and as far as UK retailers go – I am not familiar with most but I am MORE than open to go international with it!
Top 5 favourite albums?

Shoutouts God, Chicago, Chaz O’Ryan, my Family, my PR, Francesca Martin, Daphne Francios and Ebone’ McCloud of D Dot Productions/ Culture Couture, FIE Ink, Sherreth Stewart of FFB, Phil Tarver, Larry James, Jugrnaut Chicago, Def Jam Recoding, Koch Records and of course FATKIDONFIRE [me again!]!!!
Another brand who are most definitely continuing with the fresh ideas and big plans! Chaz knows where it’s at with his designs and the love he’s giving out to everyone in the OFFS family. Definitely the way to do it if you ask me! If you’re feeling what Chaz has had to say or feel like finding out more about either the graphics or fashion that OFFS head over to the blog or holla at Chaz via his Twitter account. I think the best way to end up is on this – how sick is this logo?!
