I was thinking of having a bit of me time over the Christmas break as far as keeping the blog ticking over until 2012 – but at the rate at which the (awesome) content is backing up I might not get any much. Here’s hoping 2012 can continue the seriously good year this one’s been.
There’s two or three new MakeItGood x FatKidOnFire features and mixes, a few free downloads and one or two brand features due over the next week or so. It’s getting busy! And that’s not including tonight’s video interview courtesy of the awesome guys over at We Free The Box…
I’ve been following Blacksmif for absolutely bloody ages. Yemi has a serious talent for producing the chill variants of 140bpm – or the “dance music for home listening” as he calls it – that’s guaranteed to be on my stereo if I’m not abusing its subs.
I hit him up a while back with the idea of doing a feature here on FKOF – with a mixtape or maybe a free download but Lara and Sam caught up with him (with a camera) before he and I nailed down doing something with the music. As always, when Sam’s behind the camera and editing things, the interview turned out as well as I thought it could of. This one’s a good ‘un!
Hit Blacksmif up on Soundcloud, Twitter and Facebook and be sure to cop his EP when it drops on the awesome Nikki‘s Syncronicity Records label next year!
