It’s been a relatively quiet few weeks here on FatKidOnFire – after the madness that’s been MakeItGood x FKOF at Cable on 1/2/13 and then FKOF x MaasBASS in Maastricht on 15/2/13. It’s also been a few weeks with more than a bit of news – so I figured it was high time to update you guys on what’s been going on…
First off, the not so positive news.
After 3 years and 145 artists, last week Lara and I decided to call time on the MIG x FKOF feature series. Lamont‘s feature from two weeks ago will be the last and final feature. Lara’s words on the decision below:
“To all you lovely people.
“We have decided that after 3 years and 145 features, it is time we say farewell to our feature series with FatKidOnFire. It has been such a wicked experience, met so many great artists and wonderful people, but it is time to focus my energy on other projects. Massive thanks to every single artist that has featured and all of you lot for supporting. Thanks to Wil at FatKidOnFire for his help! Big ups, and keep MAKING THINGS GOOD.”
We’re going to be continuing the feature series under a different title. Thanks to Lara, the MIG team and all the artists who’s given us interviews, mixes and support!
Secondly, FKOF2.0. It is almost time…
Lastly, Chris has decided to take a step back from the FKOF streetwear posts he does (Streetwear Radar, FKOF fashion features etc). He is, however, focusing on a new FKOF project we’re working on – so don’t worry, he’s not going anywhere!
So if there’s anyone out there with writing skills and a passion for ‘digital journalism’, streetwear and meeting some of the best, most entrepreneurial people in the fashion industry, hit me up.
Peace, love and respect.
