It’s not often we’re three guest mixes deep before getting more heavily involved in an artist’s business – but that’s the situation we find ourselves in with London’s Itoa. Alex first got in touch in early 2014, with the title track on his debut digital EP with WW. Ever curious for new sounds, our interest was piqued when Alex described Peng as “sort of sparse minimal bashment – clattery percussion and deep subs”… That description wasn’t half wrong – and we’ve been following the producer/ DJ’s efforts ever since.
Two mixes (find the second here) and eighteen months later, we recently had an email from Alex asking if he could put another selection of tunes together for us. The producer’s got his latest digital release out today, we’ve got the title track to premiere and yep, we’ve got another mix to get you in the mood for the weekend.
