M.U.D x Soundboys

Loftas | Vilnus | 28/12/13

We’ve featured the Soundboys crew, based out of Vilnius in Lithuania, before here on FatKidOnFire – last summer in the run up to their event welcoming Kryptic Minds and Toast (which also had one of the best promotional videos for an event I’ve seen in a long time).

At the end of December, they welcomed the Macabre Unit crew, including FKOF fam Demon and Beezy alongside the almighty Biome, Occult and Duku to LOFTAS; a venue that houses one of the sound systems I hear mentioned with baited breath on many occasions. This system is something to behold…

All of the M.U.D artists pushed the rig to its limits – which you can kind of tell from the videos below (and the others you’ll find on the Soundboys YouTube channel) – in front of what looked to be yet another capacity crowd attending. From what I’ve heard from some of those who attended, the event was another successful addition to the Soundboys calendar; one that has already seen some of the best names in bass music attend!
You can find all the event photos from the M.U.D takeover on the Soundboys FB page here.

The next event, which will be February 22nd in the same venue, promises to continue the trend of the Soundboys crew promoting some of the most standout dubstep events in Europe.

The first dance of 2014 sees DEEP MEDi artist and Japanese dubstep maestro Goth-Trad make his way to Lithuania for his first time on the Soundboys rig. Brighton’s IJO is also on the line up, promising to bring his dark ambient music to the night. The full line up has yet to be announced, but Nikita and the rest of the gang have promised it will be another night to remember…

I’m flying out for my first time in Lithuania (and first time with Soundboys) to attend and document the Goth-Trad gig here on FKOF. I’ll be in Vilnius for a full three days, so if there’s anything I should do (other than be blown away by the Soundboys rig that is!) or anyone I should be meeting feel free to drop me an email and give me the low down!

Find the event page for the Goth-Trad show in February here. It’ll be 18+ and around 20Lt for entry.
We’ll post a link to the tickets on the FKOF FB page once it’s live – so head over there and keep your eyes open!

Peace, love and respect.
