The imprint had a number of quality releases that we supported here at FatKidOnFire, on the site and on our SoundCloud account with the FKOF Promo uploads. The label also ventured into events, with our friends at Innamind, with the EXILE series of dances in London – which saw some of the best line ups grace the city in the second half of 2013 – which are returning for 2014.
“With support from the scene’s leading artists (including Skream, Benga, Mary Anne Hobbs, N-Type, Kryptic Minds, Youngsta and Distance) and exclusive playlisting on Skream & Benga’s BBC Radio1 show, the long awaited Hammerhead EP is worth every minute of your attention.
“Matt-U’s EP explores the depths of deep dark dubstep in 2013; incorporating eerie ambiances, intricate bass structures and intellectual lyricism from emcees Kyza Smirnoff, Orifice Vulgatron (Foreign Beggars), Marger & Illaman.”
Later on in the year, the stems for Danger, the release’s flip, were given away in a remix competition – and the two winning remixes District and DyAD, alongside Matt-U’s VIP and the VIP’s instrumental, are now available for free download in the Danger remixes EP.

If you missed the official video for Hammerhead when it dropped, here it is again in all its glory. Don’t forget you can still buy the Hammerhead EP (digital) from Juno here or pick up the vinyl from Chemical here.
Peace, love and respect.
