It’s been a fair while since there was a round up of all the cool isht that’s dropped here on FatKidOnFire. I thought I’d rectify that for you guys and spread the word on just a selection of what I’ve seen over the past month. There’s also another product drop post and the next “New music…” post lined up for tomorrow night, so stay locked…
I’ve been keeping eyes on Street Casuals for a while now – they’ve not been around for too long but they’re already stocking some of the finest brands on the market (Penfield, Alkr, Herschel, Huf and Clae anyone?) and are making big waves on the online store front. I’ve compiled one of my favourite outfits from the SC drops, but hit the site for the whole selection.
For those of you who don’t know Nash Money, first and foremost shame on you! Secondly, now you do know. We’ve known Nash since the complete and utter shenanigans that was the Second Son x Nash x Donuts collab launch last year and caught up with him last week at the ODG x Michael De Feo exhibition. Now Nash isn’t one to sit on his laurels and shy away from doing new and crazy shit. But even we were amazed when we saw his latest project… Peep the Nash Money & Inspired Ingenuity Sneaker Speakers.
No, your eyes do not deceive you – those are a set of Air Force 1 speakers. Fully functioning speakers! Peep the interview he did with Art & Sole for the launch of the Sneaker Speakers and peep the full ‘Making Of‘ photo album Nash published on Facebook. Nash is currently working away on some even crazier stuff but we’ll not find out what it is (he wouldn’t tell me) until it drops. Follow Nash on Facebook and Twitter so you can get the latest creations as they drop.
Anyone who knows FKOF in the real world will know of my (small by some standards) shoe collection, with the last count was pushing 40 pairs. However, I always find the next brand to jump on or that new pair of Air Max 1s to cop. S/S is always the time to rock the smarter looking pairs in the collection and a new brand caught my eye the other day. Bagua are a French company who are inspired by the “oldest shoe in the world; the shoe of the Kung-Fu and Tai-Chi Master”. The Krutno reminds me of the Dr. Marten ‘Andrew’ with a bit of the Pointer quality thrown in. Gonna hit size? when I’ve got a bit of spare cash and grab me a pair of these. Big look.
I also spotted a new Treacle drop today. Bob and the Treacle crew have been releasing new designs left, right and centre but today sees the brand take the next step and venture into sweats. This Philth x Treacle will be produced in seriously limited numbers so hit the Treacle blog to see how you can reserve yours.
Finally, our good friend Andrew over at R3DN3CK Clothing has landed an advert in Front Magazine (congrats bro!) so is celebrating with an offer on the popular ‘Alan‘ crew. Peep the offer details on the flyer and go cop Front to see the R3DN3CK advert!
Peace, love and respect.
