New music…

New music…

It’s that time of the week again (well – it’s a bit late but c’est la vie), where we do a bit of a round up of all the amazing music we’ve discovered this week. If you missed last week’s bumper update peep it again here.

We’ve been raving about the OFWGKTA gang since we heard ‘Yonkers’ from Tyler, the Creator but we’ve been a bit slow on the uptake when it comes to the rest of the gang. If you’ve not got the albums Odd Future have on their Tumblr go get, but it’s only been today that we’ve jumped on the debut album from their resident R&B man Frank Ocean. If the rest of OF’s lyrics are a little hardcore for you and you’re a fan of the Weeknd’s debut album then this is right up your street. Peep ‘Novacane’ below for an idea of what you’re missing out on! If you can’t find a DL link for ‘nostalgia/ ULTRA.’ grab the album that Frank released for free -> here <-

If talent closer to home is a bit more your thing, check this frankly ridiculous track from Birmingham’s M.O.D – we discovered him this week (thanks Sean!), so expect a FKOF feature soon (this weekend). Dope beat, dope lyrics, dope isht!

It’s been a while since we heard from FKOF resident Dj Robin Dunne (so long the mixes aren’t online anymore! If anyone wants to give them a listen holla and we’ll upload them somewhere).
Turns out Robin’s got finals in a few weeks so he’s revising (although he has only got three exams the jammy bugger) – but he dropped this latest track, with the sensational Bronagh Monahan on vocals, in the FKOF inbox today and we’ve had it on repeat ever since. Banger.

Si and Leon, otherwise known as Kryptic Minds, released their latest album this week. Continuing from where they left off with 2009 album ‘One of Us’, ‘Can’t Sleep’ sees the duo bringing their extreme bassweight to the dancefloors of 2011. ‘Can’t Sleep’ is well worth the purchase – peep ‘The Things They Left Behind’ if you’re unconvinced. Amazing track.

Now for a different flavour of bassweight. Sampling Pharrel’s ‘Can I Have It Like That‘, our boy Nathan Spooner dropped us his latest track earlier this week. Love it.
