This week marks a slight departure from the norm in our Mix of The Week series. OneFortyDeep‘s Andy has, quite rightly, decided to champion a two hour set from a DJ and vocalist you couldn’t really call a newcomer – in fact Beezy‘s been involved in bass music for longer than most. He’s a veteran of the scene; one with more than enough talent on mic, behind the decks and anywhere else you put him…
“I’ve tended to focus on the up-and-comers in these MOTW selections, but this week I’m giving a shout out to Beezy for this immense set that was broadcast live on GetDarker TV on Tuesday 11th February.
“In a show originally billed to feature a set from Coki, who unfortunately had to cancel, Beezy did the only thing he could have done and and took control of the whole 2 hour slot. And take control is exactly what he did.
“As dubplate followed dubplate, the chatroom and social networks were buzzing. There was talk of this being the best GetDarker live set in some time, and nobody attempted to deny that. Ably assisted by Sun of Selah on the mic, Beezy played an absolute blinder, and I for one am already hoping there will be a return appearance for the pair sometime soon.”
