Out and About over the next few weeks…

It’s been ages (and we mean ages) since our last ‘Out and About…‘ post so we thought we’d get one written. This week promises to be a messy one with the return of one of our favourite dubstep nights to Shoreditch and next week promises to be even madder with the launch of a new label and another mad event at Cable.

If you cast your mind back to the first ever FatKidOnFire mixtape from the extremely talented Ropper, we introduced you to the party-mad Dropfellas boys and their Dark Side of London events. The boys took a hiatus over the winter month but are back, bigger and better than ever for this year’s first DSOL bash at The Shoreditch on 21st April from 9-2pm.

There are just 200 tickets which you can grab for just £5 here (but they’ll be more on the door). And if you’re unsure, just look at that lineup. Hatcha (!!!), Fused Forces, Dropfellas, Sai and Qwark.

Set times:

09.30 – 10.30 Qwark
10.30 – 11.15 Sai
11.15 – 00.15 Fused Forces
00.15 – 01.15 Hatcha
01.15 – 02.00 Dropfellas

3rdeyeLDN, new up and coming experimental label, are releasing their first LP to download for free on the 28th of this month and will be celebrating their release by hosting Room 2 at the long awaited Dubfreaks – Get Down on the 29th at Cable.

3rdeyeLDN have plans for some sick releases from artists such as Skanky, Integral and Dosage, as well as a string of events kicking off with their official and exclusive launch in August. It seems the 3rdeyeLDN gang have big plans over the next few months:

In addition to bringing a selection of fresh artists and sounds to the table, 3rdeyeLDN are looking to eventually branch out into more of a movement than just a label – covering all areas from events to art, media and fashion.

We’re going to be watching them with great interest!

If anyone wants more information about 3rdeyeLDN drop Jasmine an email. In the meantime, catch 3rdeyeLDN on Souncloud and Mixcloud.

We’ll be providing coverage from both events – so be sure to follow us live on Twitter and Facebook. Stay locked on FKOF over the next few weeks for the recaps. Alternatively, if you’re planning on going to either event come say hi!

Peace, love and respect.
