It’s been a fairly busy night here at FatKidOnFire; a new brand feature, a new ‘Out and About’ and finally some new brand updates we thought were of note.

First off, we saw something rather unique through our friend Gemma over at GLKing Creative Consultancy. Leicester’s 3 1/2 Inch Floppy Ltd recycle old floppy discs (some of you may remember them; pre-CD tech haha!) into unique bags, note pads, pen pots and wine holders. Each item is hand made and are all unique – no two are the same. Peep some sample shots below and if these have caught your interest find the company on Facebook and Twitter.

Our friends over at Visual Artistic Garments (VA-G) had a great year last year. They return with new concepts and new designs for 2011, and we are luckily to have sneak peek of VA-G’s S/S 11 collection. If you’re on the hunt for new VA-G threads, don’t fret as their new collection drops this month. For more info on the brand, find VA-G’s blog here and find them on Facebook and Twitter.

Our friends over at Mr. Lacy aren’t resting on their laurels for 2011. It’s only just February and they’re already releasing a new style. ‘Clubbies’ are printed laces with are available in the brand’s huge colour spectrum with coordinating branded tips, so are perfect for ‘repping your club colours’. We’re pleased to see the brand extending their already full back catalogue (even if the Clubbies are a bit colourful for our tastes)! Always good to see. Peep a press shot and an interesting interactive lacing guide below.

Finally, it’s almost the 14th February. That’ll either have you reaching for the bottle (or whatever your poison is) or gearing up for a night with a special someone. If you’re at a loss for what to treat your special someone(/ yourself) with, why not head over to Europe’s largest online retailer Surfdome. Grab some underwear from French brand Pull-In or WeSC headphones for her…

…Or a Nixon Time Teller P watch (these are awesome, I’ve got one!) or an Alpinestars tee for him.
